5-DAYS EXCURSION

This five-day trip is made ​​specifically for experienced riders. We will ride in rough terrain, forest, hillside and over mountains. Here you will really experience the unique nature of the western coast.

Day 1. Slettafjellet. We will ride up from Smiedal to Slettafjellet in the morning. An approximately 8 km walk. It's a pretty straightforward route to ride, and on the top of the mountain we will make a rest and enjoy the view. We will return to the garden in the evening.

Day 2. Traditional mail route. We will start riding from the village along the hillside on the mail road.  In the past the mail man walked this route every day. We will walk past many beautiful viewpoints and hear many good stories and tales from the old days. We return to Smiedal in the evening.

Day 3. Sandvatnet - stay overnight. This camp is situated one day’s march from Smiedal, into the mountain. The varied terrain is challenging for the rider. Up in the mountain we will have a full view over all the mountains around; we will see Folgefonna and also get a sight towards the ocean. In the mountain lakes there is plenty of fish. We will camp in the lavvo and over a good meal we will enjoy the tranquility of the mountain.

Day 4. Sandvatnet. We will do smaller trips in the magnificent mountain area.

Day 5. Back to Smiedal. In the morning we will pack our belongings and return to the village.
